CONSTANTINO'S GOURMET GROCERY STORE TO OPEN DOWNTOWN
INSIDE THE BINGHAM WITHIN 30 DAYS

10,000 Square-Foot Market/Deli Makes Downtown Living More Appealing;
Complements City Hall's Vision for a Thriving Downtown Community

CLEVELAND, OH - September 30, 2004 - A critical phase of downtown Cleveland's ongoing growth and success is about to be completed with the upcoming grand opening of Constantino's Market. Located inside The Bingham on West 9th Street in the heart of the Warehouse District, the new market and deli is positioned to conveniently serve the hundreds of residents who call downtown Cleveland their home.

Downtown Cleveland has been desperately seeking a grocer willing to invest in the city's new urban community concept for many years. Constantine "Costas" Mavromichalis, a 27-year grocery veteran, is the owner of the new market. His experience in the Cleveland grocery market includes owning three local convenient food markets. He currently still runs the Convenient Food Mart located on 110th Street at Clifton on Cleveland's west side.

Constantino's is expected to open for business by November 1. The market will be located on the main level of The Bingham, which houses 340 loft-style apartments. The 10,000-square-foot gourmet market and deli will not only stock basic grocery items, but will also offer specially prepared foods for residents too busy to cook. Shoppers will also find a wide assortment of wine and other beverages, fresh meats and seafood selections, bakery and even a Sushi bar. For last-minute gift needs, the new market will even offer an assortment of specialty chocolates, nuts, fresh flowers and greeting cards.

In addition to food items, Constantino's will also sell such convenience items as health and beauty aids, cleaning products, paper goods, party supplies, newspapers, magazines, ice, cigarettes and cigars. A lottery will also be on site. Projected hours of operation are Monday thru Friday from 7:00 AM until 9:00 PM, and Saturday - Sunday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, although the schedule will change based on market demands.

"We are so happy to have Constantino's as part of The Bingham's service offering," said Neal Singer, a partner with Bingham Burnside LLP, the Chicago-based developer of The Bingham. "This market is exactly what downtown Cleveland needs to help attract more residents back to the City. And it is exactly what The Bingham needed to help differentiate it from other housing options in the area. No other apartment building or condo complex, for that matter, can boast having this type of convenience."

According to Mavromichalis, The Bingham was not the first apartment community to approach him to open a downtown store. "In the past several years, I have been approached by several apartment and condo communities to come downtown," said Mavromichalis. "But my preference was for The Bingham, primarily because of its great location. Not only is it located in the heart of the warehouse district where it is accessible to thousands of people, but it also offers street-side parking which is important for a business like mine."

Mavromichalis further credits his decision to open Constantino's inside The Bingham to the timing of his daughter's return to Cleveland. He explained that twenty-nine-year-old Anna Marie gave up a lucrative job in Chicago as a business consultant to help him and his wife, Evelyn, manage the downtown store.
